From A Dark Place.
I was asked to create lettering for two headlines of feature stories in the October 2015 issue of HOUR Detroit Magazine. It was great to team up with Valerie Morgan again; she encouraged me to try new materials to get to the grunge look seen in the final work. I've been described as messy with intent, and I think that really comes through with these editorial lettering illustrations. Both "From A Dark Place" and "Erasing The Past" have haunting undertones to them, so I tried my best to express those feelings.
